🎉 Birthday Gratitude:

Another Year of Breath, Mercy, and Miracles in Human Form

I woke up this morning with a heart full of gratitude so deep it felt like water rising quietly inside my chest. The kind that makes you inhale slowly… and realise how soft God’s mercy truly is.

Because breath is not ordinary.

Some people are taking their last breath today.

Some are paying heavily just to breathe through oxygen.

Some have already returned to the earth silent, unfinished, gone.

But me?

I woke up breathing without effort.

I woke up stretching, thinking, praying, feeling… alive.

This alone is worth celebrating.

And as I sat with this gratitude, my mind drifted back to the yams I harvested recently  yams that looked ready on the outside but weren’t mature inside. They were pulled before their time. A premature ending caused by a false alarm.

And a prayer rose from deep within me:

“Ya Allah, may my own life never be harvested before its time.

May no false alarm cut my journey short.

May I not die untimely.

Aameen

This Year: A Journey of Becoming, Healing, and Divine Alignment

When I look back at the past year, I see stories stitched into my growth stories of people, places, lessons, surprises, and miracles in human form.

My Mentorship Programs  Cohata & My Audacious Queen, Barr. Patience Olusiyi

Being part of the Cohata mentorship program was one of the best decisions I made this year.

It stretched me.

It strengthened me.

It reminded me that  spirituality is service, and service is gratitude.

And then… my Audacious Queen Barr. Patience Olusiyi, Esq.

Ah.

Where do I start?

Her essence is something I cannot fully explain.

She carries wisdom with softness, power with grace, clarity with compassion.

She is fire and stillness in one body.

A mentor who doesn’t just guide you she expands you.

I honour you, ma.

Thank you for pouring into me.

My GrandKhadee My God-Given Gift

My GrandKhadee…

My angel in human form.

Her energy is pure.

Her presence is calming.

Her love is intentional.

Her wisdom is ancestral.

She is one of the greatest gifts God has placed in my life.

And In Sha Allah, I will write your biography one day, because your life is a legacy the world deserves to read.

Thank you, Ma, for all you do.

You are a blessing that keeps blessing.

My Sisterhood Hike  A Healing Space for Women

The Sisterhood Hike was not just an event it was a prayer answered.

Women breathing together.

Walking together.

Healing together.

Laughing together.

Nature witnessed us.

The mountains held us.

Our footsteps became gratitude.

Our conversations became medicine.

Every woman who showed up reminded me why sisterhood is sacred.

Mastermind & InnocentMIND  Mirrors of My Growth

Mastermind pushed me beyond my comfort zone, forced me to expand my thinking, and taught me that confusion is often the doorway to clarity.

InnocentMIND softened me in the best way.

It showed me how to communicate gently, intentionally, and consciously.

It taught me how to honour people’s nervous systems, including my own.

It made my words feel like soft landings instead of sharp edges.

I am grateful for every lesson, every moment, every shift.

Dr Hauwa, A "Salaam” That Redirected My Path

Sometimes God sends guidance disguised as people.

And this year, He sent me Dr Hauwa.

One soft “salaam” from her changed my posture, aligned my vision, and reminded me to show up with grace.

Her presence is a blessing.

Her words stay with me.

I honour you, ma.

My Siblings Especially Mustapha & Hauwa

My siblings… my heart.

But these two Mustapha and Hauwa

Hmmm!

Their story is for another day.

The way they love me.

The way they stand by me.

The way they annoy me.

The way they show up.

I am deeply grateful to you both.

My Sweet Moori

And my baby Moori…

My mirror-jumping, attention-seeking, “I-am-the-owner-of-this-house” cat.

He gives me joy without trying.

He teaches me softness without speaking.

He makes me laugh even when I’m stressed.

He is a small creature with a big presence.

I pray he never leaves.

May he stay healthy, safe, and close to me always.

Aunt Jemila My Big sis, and Safe Space

And then there is Aunt Jemila…

My big sis is a safe space.

My quiet comfort.

My steady voice.

She has warned me not to talk too much, so I will respect her instruction and leave it right there.

But she knows

I am deeply grateful for her presence, her wisdom, her covering, and the way she holds space for me without noise.

Some bonds don’t need heavy words.

They speak through energy, through knowing, through silence.

That is us.

My Adventurous Crew  Naija Adventure Trail-Setters

To my adventurous crew

Naija Adventure Trail-Setters

You all add fire to my life.

Ah! The hills we’ve climbed,

the laughter we’ve scattered,

the risks we’ve taken,

the stories we’ve gathered.

We’ve got more adventures to catch,

more peaks to conquer,

more memories to create.

This journey is sweeter because of you all.

My Neighbours, Damilola & Everyone Who Reached Out

My neighbours

I couldn’t have asked for better people living around me.

Thank you for your kindness, your warmth, your presence.

Damilola, thank you for my cake.

It meant more than you know.

And to everyone who called, texted, posted, viewed my status, sent prayers…

I appreciate you deeply.

Thank you for thinking of me.
