Medicine
I’m bursting with happiness and gratitude for whoever invented medicine. And let’s not forget to thank the Almighty for inspiring that genius.
Picture this: no medicine for headaches, fevers, or even something as common as the flu. Now, imagine the chaos like trying to perform brain surgery with a butter knife. You don’t want to imagine that, right?
Who Created Medicine?
Hippocrates (born 460 BC) is widely credited as the father of modern medicine. He made a huge contribution by suggesting that diseases had natural (not supernatural) causes. So, he was basically the ancient equivalent of a superhero or still superhero his is GOAT. (Greatest of all time)
Now, did you know there’s a difference between medicine and drugs? Let me break it down for you 😁. Both treat diseases, but 'medicines' aim to restore mental and physical stability. 'Drugs,' refer to any kind of substance used to gain control over your body or your mind.
I’m immensely grateful for medicine 💊 because it helps me stay healthy.
Recently, I wasn’t feeling well, so I called my friend, who’s a doctor. We discussed my symptoms, and she sent me the medications I needed. I then turned to another friend, a pharmacist with a heart of gold. I bless the day we met she takes care of me with so much care and love, it’s like having a personal healthcare concierge. Thanks to these amazing professionals and medicine, I’m back to feeling like myself.
I’m grateful for medicine because I have loved ones who are still around because it restored their health.
About 20 years ago, I took some fake medicine and didn’t get better. My family was so worried, it was like living in a suspense thriller. Thankfully, a doctor caught the fake antibiotics in time. Otherwise, I might be the ghostwriter for a medical drama by now 😂.
I’m grateful for the right medicine at the right time.
I’m grateful for medicine because my dad is in great health.
I’m grateful for medicine because I know a few friends who rely on it based on doctor’s prescriptions.
I’m grateful for medicine because life without it would be like trying to bake a cake without flour pretty grim.
