Why the Almighty’s Finest Masterpiece is a Woman

Women are among the finest masterpieces of the Almighty.

It is often said that woman was created from the rib a delicate place, yet one that protects the heart. Perhaps there is wisdom in that. The rib bends, but it does not easily break.

In many ways, the strength of women reminds us that true strength is not always loud. Sometimes it is quiet resilience, patience, compassion, and the ability to nurture life even in difficult moments.

As the world marks International Women’s Day, we celebrate the remarkable strides women continue to make. Women are raising the bar across industries and communities. They are CEOs, innovators, inventors, leaders, and builders of ideas that shape the future.

Yet beyond the titles and achievements, there is another truth that is often less visible.

Families are frequently held together by the unseen strength of women.

From nurturing children to managing homes, supporting partners, and holding emotional spaces for others, many women carry responsibilities that quietly sustain families and communities.

I remember beginning to cook and help take care of my siblings when I was just six years old. It wasn’t unusual; it was simply what was expected.

Many girls grow up learning responsibility long before they fully understand adulthood.

And perhaps this is where a deeper reflection begins.

For generations, society has placed many expectations on women. If a child behaves poorly, the mother is blamed. If the home is not well managed, questions are directed at the woman. If she cannot cook, some people say she cannot be a good wife.

These narratives have existed for a long time.

Yet today, many women are becoming more independent, not always because they desire to carry everything alone, but sometimes because responsibility has not always been shared equally.

Maybe this is the conversation worth having.

If we truly believe in growth and progress, then responsibility should not belong to one gender alone.

What if we raised boys with the same intentional teaching of responsibility that girls often receive?

What if we raised sons to understand care, partnership, and accountability, just as daughters are taught to nurture?

Strong homes are not built by women alone. They are built through shared responsibility, respect, and understanding.

True partnership begins when men see women not as opportunities to pursue, but as human beings worthy of respect, dignity, and sincere support.

Because when a woman is given peace, respect, and protection, the home she helps build often becomes a place of serenity.

There is also another narrative I have heard many times, that women hardly work well together.

Sometimes that narrative serves a purpose.

Yes, it is true that occasionally some women may struggle with another woman who is intentional, confident, and grounded in her self-worth. But that is not the full story.

Because when intentional women come together, something powerful happens.

They build empires.

They create opportunities.

They generate employment.

They nurture communities.

And ultimately, they contribute to building a better world.

I have seen great women.

And I have had the privilege of being in their spaces.

Women who uplift others.

Women who extend a hand instead of competition.

Women who build while helping others rise.

Today, I want to celebrate some of them.

These are women whose work, strength, and dedication continue to inspire me.

Shoutout to my mum, Mrs Hassana Husseini.

My list is long, but let me pause here for now.

To all the women pushing forward, breaking limits, building dreams, and lifting others along the way, I see you.

Sending you love, strength, and warm hugs.

As we celebrate women today, perhaps the question we can all ask ourselves is this:

How can we create spaces where women are supported, respected, and empowered to flourish without carrying the world alone?

May we continue to raise daughters who know their worth, and sons who know how to honour it.

Happy International Women’s Day.

And perhaps this is why I believe, with all sincerity, that the Almighty’s finest masterpiece is a woman.
